On the afternoon of May 31, local time in DRC, Luaraba Copper Smelter S.A.S, a subsidiary of CNMC, signed a 10-year contract with Kamoa Copper S.A. for consigned processing of copper concentrates from Kamoa-Kakula. The contract was signed by Yang Wei, General Manager of Luaraba Copper Smelter S.A.S, and Mark Farren, Chief Executive Officer of Kamoa Copper S.A., on behalf of both parties.
On April 26th, the Times of Zambia, the most influential mainstream media in Zambia, told the story of NFC Africa Mining PLC ("NFCA" for short) in the headline of "Zambia-China Forum" - "COVID won't stop NFCA operations - The mining firm also vows not to retrench any of its 5,300 workers!" while in the feature page of finance and taxation on the same issue, the news that NFCA has paid a total of USD 200 million in taxes to the government since its establishment, and actively supported Zambia's economic development by practicing the concept of "China-Zambia cooperation and common development" was published.
On April 12, CNMC Limited held its performance presentation for 2020 and Q1 2021 in Beijing by live streaming and teleconference.
