After the first batch of the finished copper in Cathode Copper Hydrometallurgy Project with annual output of 20,000 tons produced by CNMC Huaxin Mabende Mining Company in Democratic Republic of the Congo rolled off the production line on March 14, 2014, through the joint efforts of management and technical staff  by overcoming the power shortage, high impurities of raw material and other difficulties, the leaching rate of copper, the extraction rate, the sulfuric acid unit consumption for cathode copper and other technical indicators can reach the design level from July.

As one of the key investment projects of our company, Chambishi South-east Orebody project has the designed annual ore mining quantity of 3.3 million tons and the designed annual copper metal production of 63000 tons. 

CNMC Luanshya Copper Mines Plc (hereinafter referred to as CLM), company’s branch in Zambia, overcame influence of rainy season and achieved smooth production and construction of the heap leach system of Muliashi Factory.

After the design of Phase II expansion renovation project- 250,000 tons of blister copper, 600,000 tons of sulfuric acid is basically completed, by strengthening the management, the company’s branch in Zambia - Chambishi copper smelter’s various technical and economic indicators in November have reached its best level: month production of blister copper was 19,602.80 tons, production of sulfate was 48,184.05 tons and production of copper ore slag was 313.29 tons. From January to November, the ISA furnace operating rate reached 97.30% on average, and the main technical and economic indicators have reached the highest level in history.
