On December 13, Wang Tongzhou, Chairman of the Board of Directors, President and General Manager of CNML met Ge Honglin, Chairman of Aluminum Corporation of China and his delegation at the headquarters of CNML, and both parties made in-depth exchange of views on solid foundation of friendly relations and cooperation established at early stage, giving complementary advantages further and developing pragmatic cooperation from broader fields, and reached broad consensus and signed the strategic cooperation framework agreement. 

On December 10, 2018, the public benefit selection outcome for the "Second Session of Meritorious Enterprises and Individuals of Non-ferrous Metal Industry Implementing Overseas Resource Development Strategy" was published ceremoniously, CNML was awarded with the title of "Meritorious Enterprises", and Xie Kaishou, Executive Director and Vice President of the Company was awarded with the title of "Outstanding Individual". 

On October 29, China Nonferrous Metal Mining (Group) Co., Ltd. (CNMC) held the first session of the first board meeting at its headquarters in Beijing. Chairman Wang Tongzhou, convened and presided over the meeting, and Tang Zujun, Deputy Inspector of the Bureau Enterprise Reform of The State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC), Li Xiaoming, Director of the Industrial Restructuring Division, Meng Xiaotong, Director of the Fifth Division of the Second Cadre Bureau, attended the meeting; the outside directors including Ma Li, Zhang Yuanrong, Xia Ceming, inside directors of CNMC, members of the leading group, head of relevant departments and concerned personnel from headquarters attended the meeting.

During the talks, Chairman Wang Tongzhou introduced the general information of reform and development of China Nonferrous Metal Mining (Group) Co., Ltd. (CNMC), the main business sectors and current status of international operation. He also expounded the operational principles of CNMC, which are to focus on industry, highlight the main business, concentrate on specialty; and the international business thoughts of expanding the development and utilization of mineral resources, strengthening the projects contracting business, making the trade and related practical business solid as well as giving the priority to the internationalization ideas of developing the overseas business. Chairman Wang Tongzhou expressed his admiration for the new development thoughts of CRHC, indicating that both parties had a good foundation and broad space for cooperation in both international and domestic markets, and hoped that both parties would carry out extensive and in-depth practical cooperation to achieve common development.
