On December 20, the "National Affair Forum 2018" sponsored by China News Service was held in Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing. With the topic of "New Era﹒Reform and Opening-up", the forum looked back the 40 years of reform and opening up, and looked forward to the future development of the Chinese economy.   Tan Tianxing, Deputy Minister of United Front Work Department of CPC Central Committee, Jin Liqun, President of Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, Zou Zhiwu, Deputy Director General of General Administration of Customs, Sun Ruibiao, Deputy Director of State Taxation Administration, Zhao Bing, Deputy Director of the Counselor Office of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, Zhang Xinxin, President of China News Service and other heads from governments, enterprises, financial institutions and news media attended the forum on that day.

On December 18, the celebration conference for the 40th anniversary of reform and opening-up was held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Xi Jinping, President of China and Chairman of the Central Military Commission attended the celebration conference and made an important address. General Secretary Xi Jinping looked back the glorious and brilliant course of the 40-year reform and opening-up comprehensively, summarized the great achievements and precious experience learned from the reform and opening-up profoundly, mobilized all the party members and people of all ethnic groups of the country to continue to promote the advancement of reform and opening-up in the new era, and made untiringly struggle for realizing the objective of "Two Centenary Goals" and realizing the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
