On June 17, Wang Tongzhou, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company and President of Holding Group, led a team to China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association to pay a visit to Ge Honglin, Secretary of Party Committee of China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association. The deep exchange was carried out with Secretary Ge Honglin in such aspects as enterprise production and operation, epidemic prevention and control, international cooperation, reform deepening and common development.

In the forenoon, May 30, Zambia time, NFC Africa Mining PLC (hereinafter referred to as NFC Africa Mining), subsidiary of the Company in Zambia, held the meeting of the Chinese employees at the station. At the meeting, the social security and epidemic prevention and control situation in Zambia were notified, the latest work instructions of Wang Tongzhou, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company, and President of Holding Group, about “large closure, small isolation, same rule, same prevention and control, classified implementation, and attention to details” in the overseas epidemic prevention and control were conveyed and studied, all employees carried out the collective study of implementation program for epidemic prevention and control of NFC Africa Mining in the “new normal”, and the units and all employees were required to carry out “strict, meticulous, pragmatic and diligent” requirements in the epidemic prevention and control and production guarantee and stabilization, and make great efforts to achieve the win-win goal. 

On May 26, 2020 local time, MUYEJ, Governor of Province de la Lualaba of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, led a team to arrive at Lualaba Copper Smelter S.A.S (hereinafter referred to as Lualaba Copper Smelter) to inspect and guide the epidemic prevention and control. Accompanied by the Head of Finance Department of Province de la Lualaba, Head of Provincial Environment Department, Head of Provincial Labor Department, and Office Director of Provincial Mining Department, the Governor conducted the inspection.

The virus respects no borders, and the epidemic knows no races. As COVID-19 spreads in Africa, the situation in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (“Congo”) is still grave. Lualaba Copper Smelter S.A.S. (“LCS”), a Congo-based company funded by China Nonferrous Metal Mining (Group) Co., Ltd. (“CNMC”), required both of its Chinese and Congolese employees to seriously follow the general anti-epidemic requirements of Wang Tongzhou, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CNMC and Chairman of the Holding Group, for “extensive closure, small-scale isolation, same rules, and joint efforts” and for “Two Stability, Two Aims, and Two Guarantees”. Practical actions were called to fight the epidemic and guarantee production.
