Lualaba Copper Smelting Limited Liability Company (hereinafter referred to as LCS) held a grand mobilization ceremony for the crude copper smelting project with a processing capacity of 400,000 tons of (dry) copper ore concentrates on the project construction site in the suburb of Lualaba, Democratic Republic of the Congo, which blew the horn for constructing the first large-scale modern crude copper smelting project with the world advanced technologies.
On March 15, 2018, the signing ceremony of the Baluba Copper Mine Mining Project Contract of the funded company CNMC Luanshya Copper Mines PLC was officially held. The signing of the project contract signifies the official launch of the resumption of production of the Baluba copper mine which has been discontinued since July 2015 due to a power shortage.
