On 5th April, Chairman and President of Board of Directors Mr. Tao Xinghu, chaired an intercommunication meeting on advancing quality and efficiency for enterprises funded in Zambia, exchanging methods and experiences on fine management, and cost decreasing & benefit increasing of Chambishi copper smelting Co., Ltd. Board Director and Vice President Mr. Luo Xingeng made comments. Board Director and Vice President of enterprises funded in Zambia Mr. Wang Chunlai and Mr. Fan Wei, Vice President Mr. Zhang Jinjun, as well as people from related departments also attended the meeting.
On March 22-23, 2016, the delegation led by Zhang Keli, General Manager of CNMC - holding group of CNMCL, went to the invested enterprises of CNMCL in Zambia: NFC, CLM, CCS and SML for investigation.
On March 21, 2016, Zhang Dejiang, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and the Standing Committee of National People's Congress (NPC), who was attending the 134th Congress of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and paying an official goodwill visit to Zambia, came to visit the Lusaka Subzone of Zambia-China Economic & Trade Cooperation Zone (ZCCZ) invested and constructed by China Nonferrous Metal Mining (Group) Co., Ltd. (CNMC), accompanied by Inonge Wina, Vice President of Zambia, Wang Chen, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the Standing Committee of NPC, Fu Ying, chairwoman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of NPC, Zhang Yesui, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Yang Youming, Chinese Ambassador to Zambia.
On 20 March, 2016, Zhang Keli, general manager and secretary of party committee of the holding group of CNMCL as well as his delegation were accompanied by Tao Xinghu, president and chairman of the board directors to call on Zambian minister of Finance, Mr. Chikwanda while they were making a survey about the companies they funded in Zambia. Two sides held an in-depth discussion in the fields of mining investment, tax policy and related matters in Zambia.
