In the process of production, management and construction, chambishi copper smelting has achieved fantastic results in short construction period, advanced technical indicators as well as good management performance respectively. From 2015 to 2016, facing challenges in world economic slowdown and lingering weakness of copper and sulfuric acid price, the management team of CCS has made in time efforts by itself.
On 22 April, Plot Initiating Meeting of 2016 Vocational Education “Going Globally” in Nonferrous Industry was grandly held at the headquarters of China Nonferrous Metal Mining (Group) Co., Ltd. Before this, in order to implement the spirit of promoting vocational education development pattern which matches the goal on Chinese enterprises and products ‘going globally’, improving international competitiveness and international impact of vocational education, serving ‘one belt and one road’ strategy and international capacity cooperation in State Council’s Decision on Accelerating Modern Vocational Education Development, China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association took the leading role in conducting the plot of vocational education ‘going globally’ development under Ministry of Education in late 2015 and set China Nonferrous Metal Mining (Group) Co., Ltd as a plot enterprise. Also the Association made plans for plot implementation, which received official reply from Ministry of Education. This meeting announced the first plot of vocational education “going globally” in nonferrous industry was officially landed in China Nonferrous Metal Mining (Group) Co., Ltd, but also a symbol of plot construction entering into implementation period.
On Zambian local time 10 April, 2016, Director of China Geological Survey and party member Mr. Zhong Ziran as well as his delegation paid a visit to NFC Africa Mining PLC (NFCA for short) funded in Zambia.
On 5th April, Chairman and President of Board of Directors Mr. Tao Xinghu, chaired an intercommunication meeting on advancing quality and efficiency for enterprises funded in Zambia, exchanging methods and experiences on fine management, and cost decreasing & benefit increasing of Chambishi copper smelting Co., Ltd. Board Director and Vice President Mr. Luo Xingeng made comments. Board Director and Vice President of enterprises funded in Zambia Mr. Wang Chunlai and Mr. Fan Wei, Vice President Mr. Zhang Jinjun, as well as people from related departments also attended the meeting.
