On August 21, 2018 (local time) in Zambia, Wang Tongzhou, Chairman, Secretary of Party Committee and General Manager of the Company, led a group to Luanshya Branch of China Nonferrous Metal Industry's Foreign Engineering and Construction Co., Ltd. for investigation. Wang Xiaowei (Assistant of General Manager of the Company), Tao Xinghu, (Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company), Zhang Lin, (the President) and Wang Chunlai (Vice President and General Manager of Luanshya Branch of China Nonferrous Metal Industry's Foreign Engineering and Construction Co., Ltd.) participated in the investigation.

August 22, 2018, Zambia, the company held a production commencement ceremony in the southeast ore body project of Chambishi Copper Mine, a copper mine invested in by the company in Zambia. Accompanied by Li Jie, Chinese Ambassador to Zambia, Wang Tongzhou, Chairman of the Holding Group, Edgar Lungu, President of Zambia and senior Zambian government officials attended the production commencement ceremony and cut the ribbon for the project.

Wang Tongzhou, Chairman, Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of CNMC and his delegation visited Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Zambia, and held talks with Li Jie, Chinese Ambassador in Zambia on Zambian local time of August 20, 2018. 

On August 16, 2018, the Hunan Nonferrous Metals Delegation led by Tangyong, Director of Hunan Nonferrous Metal Administration, visited CNMC Luanshya, accompanied by Ye Guolin, the person in charge of a holding company’s vocational education pilot work. The Delegation was received by Wang Chunlai, the executive director, the vice president and General Manager of CNMC Luanshya, and Wang Jingjun, the executive vice president.
