In January 2017, CNMC, the holding corporation of our company, commended the units and people that made outstanding contribution in the work of scientific& technological innovation since 2016, awarded 3 the first prizes of scientific and technological progress, 5 the second prizes of scientific and technological progress, and 2 the third prizes of scientific and technological progress and awarded scientific and technological supporting prizes to 128 items from 12 units in total within Chinese Nonferrous Group, including the achievement of the first prizes of provincial-level science and technology with 5 items in total, 5 national-level & provincial-level research and development platforms, 2 national-level science and technology planned projects, 76 invention patents and 40 national-level industry standard. Of those, NFC, as the first unit to complete Research on Cracked and Flat Pitch Ore Body Exploitation of Chambishi Copper Mine and Key Technology of Pasty Fluid Filling, obtained the scientific and technological incentive supporting award, and in 2016, the item was awarded the first prize of science and technology in China’s nonferrous metal industry.

Recently, the Fourth Sustainable Competitiveness Annual Conference of Chinese Corporate, jointly organized by the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee of the Chinese Institution of Business Administration, the Social Responsibility Promotion Center of China Federation of Industrial Economics, and the China Industrial Enterprise Social Responsibility Research Think-Tank, was held at the National Conference Center. With the theme "Corporate Social Responsibility + Promoting Innovation and Upgrading of Enterprises," the conference published the Public Transparency Report on Chinese Enterprises (2016-2017) and presented the annual Public Transparency Award. CNMC, the holding group of CNMCL, won the "Best Overseas Communication Practice Award" for its outstanding performance in social responsibility and public information disclosure and communication.

From December 7th to 8th, the 9th International Roundtable of Multinational Corporations’ Leaders &Forum on the “One Belt and one Road” Cooperation and Development was held in Beijing. During the meeting, Zhou Tienong, former vice chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and former vice chairman of the NPC, awarded Zhang Keli, General Manager of the holding group of CNMCL, the “2016 International Leadership Award for Multinational Corporations." Zhang said, "The award embodies the hard work and contribution of the old leaderships and all cadres and workers of CNMC. It is a recognition and encouragement for our achievements in “going out” over the years, and provides stimulation and power for our deep involvement in the construction of “the Belt and Road” and the promotion of international capacity cooperation.”

On the evening of November 26, a big dinner themed "mutual beneficial cooperation, common development" was hosted by Zambia Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Lusaka. The banquet was aimed at renewing the friendship between Zambia and China, and promoting exchanges and cooperation between the two countries. Edgar Lungu, President of the Republic of Zambia, Yang Youming, Chinese Ambassador to Zambia, Tao Xinghu, Vice President of CNMC, Chairman of the Board of Directors of China Nonferrous Mining Corporation Limited and Chairman of Zambia Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Chen Shijie, the Political Counselor and Ouyang Daobing, the Economic and Commercial Counselor of Chinese Embassy in Zambia, government ministers of Zambia, representatives of Chinese enterprises, and friendly personages of various circles attended the banquet.
