——The production of CNMC Luanshya Copper Mines Plc. reaches the highest level since its establishment 10 years ago

The good news from CNMC Luanshya Copper Mines Plc. (CLM) show that its annual copper output create a new record, exceeding 55 thousand tons, since its establishment 10 years ago.

Seize the day.Wang Chunlai, a director of CNMC and the President of CLM, in his 2020 New Year greetings pointed out that in 2019, with the support of shareholders and the leadership of the board of directors, CLM continued to maintain a high speed and stable development momentum of production and operation and continuously climbed to a new level through the united efforts of all Chinese and Zambia employees.

After 10 years of development, CLM has grown into a joint mining enterprise integrating mining, beneficiation, smelting, with the annual output of copper more than 55,000 tons. To fully exploit existing resources, CLM has built Muliashi open-pit mine and hydrometallurgy plant each one with designed annual capacity of 40,000 tons of copper, one Baluba underground mine with an annual capacity of 10,000 tons of copper, and one slag beneficiation plant with an annual capacity of 3,500 tons of copper. Over the past year, CLM worked closely around the central task of "improving economic efficiency, building a safe enterprise", paid close attention to "production increase, cost reduction, and quality improvement", and mitigated the adverse impact from external factors to the greatest extent, so that the production and operation presents a steady progress and steady trend of good development. In 2019, CLM's underground and open-pit mines, beneficiation and hydrometallurgy plants all reached or exceeded their designed capacity, with total copper output of 55,070 tons, which is 102.93% of its annual plan (53,500 tons), goes up 15.5% year on year and reaches the highest output level in CLM's 10-year history.

The past is only prologue. The year 2020 is the beginning of CLM's second decade. It is also a crucial year for CLM to "persist in dreams, strive for new progress", and "to start new undertaking and shine brighter". Standing at a new historical starting point, CLM is committed to calibrate again the grid course, closely center around its development strategy, rely on all staff and further get up steam, highlight the main business and provide better resources, through solid foundation, risk control, and talent pool fulfill all target tasks in an all-round way to achieve development goals of higher quality and better structure, work hard so CLM may succeed in "starting new undertaking and shining brighter", and contribute more to help CNMC grow stronger and become one world-class enterprise integrating science and technology, management and quality advantages.
