On February 9, 2019, Yan Diyong, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors and Vice General Manager of CNMC, who was making research and visiting the company-funded enterprises in Congo (DRC), was entrusted by Wang Tongzhou, Chairman of the Board of Directors, President and General Manager of CNMC to pay an official visit to the Ambassador in Congo (DRC) Wang Tongqing.

Deputy Chairman Yan Diyong extended his new New Year's greetings to the Ambassador in Congo (DRC) Wang Tongqing at first, and conveyed the gratitude of Wang Tongzhou for the support and guidance from the Chinese Embassy in the Democratic People's Republic of Congo (DRC), and reported the development of CNMC in Congo (DRC) and the next working concepts.

Ambassador Wang Tongqing expressed his welcome and gratitude for Director Yan Diyong and his delegation, fully affirmed the mutually beneficial and win-win innovative cooperation pattern implemented by CNMC in Congo (DRC), highly publicized the long-term development strategy determined by Group, and stressed that the funded enterprises in Congo (DRC) should further enhance their safety awareness, environmental protection consciousness and social responsibility consciousness, so as to build an international management team familiar with the prevailing international rules and with Chinese characteristics. He hoped that, CNMC could implement the spirits of important instructions thoroughly made by General Secretary Xi Jinping on strengthening the cooperation with Africa, linked up the "Eight Major Actions" for China-Africa practical cooperations, seized the historical opportunities, summarized the successful development experience in Zambia, accelerated the development of the funded enterprises at all levels in Congo(DRC), and continued to play an important role in consolidating the traditional friendship and strengthening the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
