On December 20, the "National Affair Forum 2018" sponsored by China News Service was held in Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing. With the topic of "New Era﹒Reform and Opening-up", the forum looked back the 40 years of reform and opening up, and looked forward to the future development of the Chinese economy. Tan Tianxing, Deputy Minister of United Front Work Department of CPC Central Committee, Jin Liqun, President of Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, Zou Zhiwu, Deputy Director General of General Administration of Customs, Sun Ruibiao, Deputy Director of State Taxation Administration, Zhao Bing, Deputy Director of the Counselor Office of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, Zhang Xinxin, President of China News Service and other heads from governments, enterprises, financial institutions and news media attended the forum on that day.
Wang Tongzhou, Chairman of the Board of Directors, President and General Manager of CNMC, who was invited by the sponsor of the forum, attended the forum and made a speech named Opportunities, Challenges and Role of the Chinese Enterprise Globolization in New Era. He talked about the important address made by General Secretary Xi Jinping on the conference for celebrating the 40th anniversary of reform and opening-up, in particular the feeling after learning General Secretary's address "China cannot develop in isolation from the rest of the world, nor can the world enjoy prosperity and stability without China", and introduced the course of CNMC that witnessed and participated in China's reform and opening up systematically from three dimensions, including "keeping pace with the times, keeping frequency with the times, and keeping going with the times", and analyzed the opportunities, challenges and trends of the Chinese enterprise globalization. He pointed out that, globalization had offered rare opportunities for the Chinese enterprises to participate in the global resource allocation, and provided a vast market space, overseas investment and cooperation space as well as space for new industrial growth for non-ferrous mining enterprises. Meanwhile, it also posed higher demands for the Chinese enterprises in resource allocation capacity, transnational operation capacity and culture management capacity, etc., and the non-ferrous mining enterprises implementing the policy of "Going Abroad" needed to adapt to a variety of challenges, like poor infrastructure, increasing competition for high-quality resources, difficulties in overseas resource development and sustainable stable operation. Chinese enterprise shall turn such challenges into opportunities, and turn the opportunities into victory, and must always uphold its own role, and become a determined executor implementing China's foreign policy, a pusher connecting the domestic and foreign advantages and demands, a contributor for mutual benefit and win-win result as well as joint development, and practitioner constructing the “community with shared future for mankind”。
Chairmen Wang Tongzhou stressed that, CNMC will adhere to the strategic principle of "giving priority to the development of international business", uphold the construction of "Internationalization, Specialization, Regionalization, Materialization, Capitalization", concentrate on international operation, strive to create a scientific and technological as well as a quality and benefit-oriented world-class mining group with global competitiveness. He stated at the end of speech that, CNMC would like to work with all walks of life, join hands for international development and promote the construction of "community with shared future for mankind" together.
