On December 18, the celebration conference for the 40th anniversary of reform and opening-up was held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Xi Jinping, President of China and Chairman of the Central Military Commission attended the celebration conference and made an important address. General Secretary Xi Jinping looked back the glorious and brilliant course of the 40-year reform and opening-up comprehensively, summarized the great achievements and precious experience learned from the reform and opening-up profoundly, mobilized all the party members and people of all ethnic groups of the country to continue to promote the advancement of reform and opening-up in the new era, and made untiringly struggle for realizing the objective of "Two Centenary Goals" and realizing the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. 

Wang Tongzhou, Chairman of the Board of Directors, President and General Manager of CNML attended the celebration conference, and listened to the important address made by General Secretary Xi Jinping on site, and asked the cadres and employees of CNML to study the spirit of the speech seriously at the first time. Chairman Wang Tongzhou stated that, the important address made by General Secretary Xi Jinping, which was exciting, encouraging and inspiring and fully demonstrated our determination to open wider to the outside world, not only released the powerful signal of setting out again for reform and opening-up inside and outside the country, but also pointed out the way forward for the state-owned enterprises to deepen the reform and better "Go Abroad", and also provided basic principles to follow up, thus fortifying the confidence of CNML in adhering to the strategy of "giving priority to the development of international business".
 
Chairman Wang Tongzhou stated that, as a central enterprise with "Going Abroad" as distinctive feature and outstanding advantages, CNML would always take the Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era made by President Xi Jinping as the guidance, study and implement the spirit of the celebration conference comprehensively, keep in mind the responsibilities and missions of central enterprise firmly according to the requirements of the Party Central Committee, the State Council and SASAC, accelerate the construction of "Internationalization, Specialization, Regionalization, Materialization, Capitalization" according to the strategic thoughts of "making the development and utilization of mineral resources stronger, making engineering contract bigger, making trading business more practical, making capital better and giving priority to the development of international business", strive to create a scientific and technological as well as a quality and benefit oriented world-class mining group with global competitiveness, so as to make new and greater contributions to creating a power of non-ferrous metal industry and community with shared future for mankind.
