On December 13, Wang Tongzhou, Chairman of the Board of Directors, President and General Manager of CNML met Ge Honglin, Chairman of Aluminum Corporation of China and his delegation at the headquarters of CNML, and both parties made in-depth exchange of views on solid foundation of friendly relations and cooperation established at early stage, giving complementary advantages further and developing pragmatic cooperation from broader fields, and reached broad consensus and signed the strategic cooperation framework agreement. 

During the talks, Chairman Wang Tongzhou expressed his warm welcome to Chairman Ge Honglin and his delegation for their visiting at first, and expressed his gratitude for the long-term care and support that Aluminum Corporation of China has offered to CNML, and introduced the reform and development of CNML as well. He stated that, Aluminum Corporation of China was a leading enterprise of China's nonferrous industry, and has made positive contributions to the sustainable, healthy and high-quality development of china's aluminum industry regarding demand creation, consumption guidance, capacity cooperation, green development, technological innovation by virtue of complete industrial chain, broad lines of business and powerful comprehensive strength. CNML was one of the earliest enterprises developing international business in China's nonferrous industry, and has a complete industrial chain of nonferrous industry dominated by copper. He said that, both parties shared the same origin, with powerful complementary cooperation and obvious synergistic effect. The signing of contract was a practical action to complement each other's advantages and make progress together among the brother enterprises of nonferrous industry. CNML would study the advanced experience from Aluminum Corporation of China seriously, deepen the mutual beneficial cooperation of both parties further, and make greater contributions to national economic development and nonferrous metals industry power. 
 
Chairman Ge Honglin expressed his gratitude for the long-term substantial support to the reform and development that CNML had offered to Aluminum Corporation of China, and introduced their industrial distribution, reform and development.  He stated that, as one of the earliest enterprises implementing the strategy of "Going Abroad" among the nonferrous industry in China, CNML had rich experience in international operations, ranked the 18th among the "Top 50 Chinese Globalization Enterprises", and was awarded with the title of "Meritorious Enterprises" of non-ferrous industry in overseas resource development, with fruitful development achievements. He stated that, Aluminum Corporation of China has developed into a diversified multinational enterprise integrating four major businesses including aluminum, copper, rare metal and ree, lead and zinc as well as engineering technology, industrial services, capital finance, trade logistics, etc. In recent years, the Corporation has sped up the conversion from the old to the new kinetic energy, and realized the innovative development. Aluminum Corporation of China and CNML had prominent industrial characteristics, and were in a good unity with business coverage, and has broad space for cooperation in industrial investment, development and utilization of mineral resources, engineering construction as well as industrial services, scientific and technological innovation, energy conservation and environment protection, etc. He hoped that, both parties could further innovate their thinking, construct long-term and solid strategic partnership and promote high-quality development of both parties. 
 
Subsequently, Yan Diyong, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors and Vice General Manager of CNML and Zhang Chengzhong, Vice General Manager of Aluminum Corporation of China signed on the strategic cooperation framework agreement on behalf of both parties under the witness of Chairman Wang Tongzhou and Chairman Ge Honglin. According to the agreement, both parties would work closely with each other in development and utilization of nonferrous metal mineral resources, engineering construction and industrial services, energy conservation and environment protection, scientific and technological innovation, business management and party construction, etc., participate in the construction of the "Belt and Road" jointly, strengthen the cooperation in "Going Abroad", so as to further promote mutual beneficial cooperation, complement each other's advantages, develop mutually and realize win-win situation. 

Before the signing ceremony, Chairman Wang Tongzhou accompanied Chairman Ge Honglin and his delegation to visit CNML exhibition hall.

Relevant leaders from Aluminum Corporation of China and CNML and responsible officers of relevant departments from both parties and relevant sponsoring enterprises attended the above-mentioned events.
