On October 29, China Nonferrous Metal Mining (Group) Co., Ltd. (CNMC) held the first session of the first board meeting at its headquarters in Beijing. Chairman Wang Tongzhou, convened and presided over the meeting, and Tang Zujun, Deputy Inspector of the Bureau Enterprise Reform of The State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC), Li Xiaoming, Director of the Industrial Restructuring Division, Meng Xiaotong, Director of the Fifth Division of the Second Cadre Bureau, attended the meeting; the outside directors including Ma Li, Zhang Yuanrong, Xia Ceming, inside directors of CNMC, members of the leading group, head of relevant departments and concerned personnel from headquarters attended the meeting.

The Deputy Inspector Tang Zujun fully affirmed the preparation and organization of the first session of the first board meeting held by CNMC, and proposed requests to improve the corporate governance structure and promote high-quality development of enterprises in the next step.

Chairman Wang Tongzhou requested to sort out, improve and establish diversified  systems and mechanisms further to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of CNMC in accordance with laws; clarify the management boundary, content, rules and standards between the headquarters and the invested enterprises; use advanced management technology, management instrument and information technology to build a system featured by vertical cut-through, horizontal coordination and dynamic adjustment; further deepen the reform in various fields, focus on industry, highlight the main business, concentrate on specialty and get power from the reform, so as to create and increase vitality with innovation, fully mobilize and bring creativity to the invested enterprises; thus fully enhancing the vitality of the micro-market as the main body, striving to make CNMC stronger, better and larger, and speeding up the construction of CNMC into a world-class mining enterprise group with international competitiveness.

The meeting deliberated and approved 15 proposals, including Proposal on the Articles of Association of China Nonferrous Metal Mining (Group) Co., Ltd. (CNMC). Before the meeting, the preparatory leader panel meeting and the preparatory meeting for the first session of the first board meeting were held, on which the preparations of the board meeting and other related work were reported and exchanged.
