On September 1, 2018, Chairman Wang Tongzhou visited Lungu, President of Zambia at his hotel, who came to China to attend 2018 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC). 
    
Chairman Wang Tongzhou expressed his heartfelt thanks to the support and help to CNMC development in Zambia by President Lungu and Zambia Government for a long time,especially that President Lungu presented at Launch Ceremony of Southeast Ore Body of Chambishi Copper Mine invested by CNMC in Zambia recently. He sincerely invited President Lungu to attend the China-Zambia Business Forum to be held at headquarter of CNMC on September 2 and introduced the preparation condition of the forum in details. President Wang Tongzhou said that, through his research to Zambia, he understood more about the favorable investment environment in Zambia as well as the desire and determination of Zambia people and government in improving level of industrialization, which more firm the determination and confidence of CNMC in realizing greater development in Zambia. CNMC, guided by 2018 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), will newly start from China-Zambia Business Forum, insist in the principle of co-negotiation, co-construction and sharing, unswervingly expand and deepen its investment and cooperation in Zambia, making more contribution to higher cooperation between China and Zambia. He sincerely hoped that President Lungu and Zambia Government may support the development of CNMC in Zambia as always, commonly promoting the economic and social prosperity of Zambia. 

President Lungu said that he was glad to meet with Chairman Wang Tongzhou again, and also expected to attend the China-Zambia Business Forum to be held later. China-Zambia Business Forum is an important chance to let Chinese enterprises to know more about Zambia and promote the deeper cooperation between two countries. The presence of president himself and ministers shows that Zambia Government attaches great importance to this Forum, and also their highly praise and active support to CNMC in Zambia. At that time, Zambia will roundly introduce the social development condition to all sectors of China, fully showing the friendly, open and comprehensive image of Zambia and its sincerity in welcoming Chinese enterprises to invest in Zambia. He and Zambia Government will continue supporting and promoting CNMC and more Chinese enterprises to invest and develop in Zambia, developing practical cooperation in wider fields and making more contribution to the industrialization goal of Zambia. 

Relevant government senior officers of Zambia, relevant leaders of CNMC, principals of relevant departments and investing enterprises attended the meeting.
