NFC Huaxin Mabende Mining Co., Ltd. Constructed Five Wells for Potable Use in KALAMBANGIRI Village of Democratic Republic of the Congo

In the morning on September 1, 2017, the first manual water well funded and constructed by NFC Huaxin Mabende Mining Co., Ltd. in Democratic Republic of the Congo (“NFC Mabende” for short) was completed, and the villagers of KALAMBANGIRI Village who had suffered from shortage of water for a long time expressed their delight with their traditional dance on the site.

The KALAMBANGIRI Village where the NFC Huaxin Mabende is located had been no water for several decades, and the villagers needed taking water to the place 4km away from their village. The villagers ever invested money and personnel in the well digging for multiple times, but no water source was found. NFC Huaxin Mabende, observing the purpose of developing enterprise to benefit the community, did what the villages want and invested USD 60,000 and invited professional well digging company to make a general survey on water source in the place where the Company is located and to conduct well digging.

By the completion of the manuscript, the Company has dug five wells along with the village, and two of them have been able to pump out water. The Company additionally decides to set a 5m3 water storage tank in each place where the well cannot be dug in the village, sending water with watering cart, thus guaranteeing that villagers in the places without water well also can have water to drink and use.
Shen Nanshan, the Chairman of NFC Mabende, Wu Shaoxin, the Director, Li Yaolin, the General Manager, and the General Manager Assistants HASSAN and Yin Xuanwen, the Company’s manager in the D.R. Congo named CHRISTIAN and the Chief named KANSASHI also attended the water pumping ceremony.
