On November 17, 2016, accompanied by Li Xiaobing, President of the Academy for International Business Officials (AIBO), MOFCOM, five governors from Muchinga Province, Copperbelt Province, North-Western Province, Southern Province and Luapula Province, Zambia and a delegation of officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Zambia visited CNMC. Tao Xinghu, Vice President of CNMC and Chairman of the Board of Directors & President of China Nonferrous Mining Corporation Limited received the delegation.

At the symposium, Mr. Li Xiaobing said that Zambia and China enjoyed profound traditional friendship, and the friendly cooperative relations between the two countries are developing continuously. He expressed his hope to further deepen the mutual understanding and mutual trust relationship through the study and the exchange with CNMC and China Nonferrous Mining Corporation Limited and to actively explore new areas of cooperation on the basis of the existing cooperation. The students in the seminar extended congratulations to CNMC and China Nonferrous Mining Corporation Limited for their great achievements, and expressed their gratitude to the company for its great contribution to the economic and social development of Zambia and the improvement of living standard of the local people. During this visit to China, they have benefited a lot from development process of China’s economy. The great achievements of China from its reform and opening up have offered plenty of referential successful experience for Zambia’s future development. They hope CNMC and China Nonferrous Mining Corporation Limited will further increase the investment in Zambia, and they will as always, provide support.

Mr. Tao Xinghu extended warm welcome to the delegation and introduced the investment and development of CNMC and China Nonferrous Mining Corporation Limited in Zambia in recent years. He pointed out that the company's development in Zambia was inseparable from the support of the Government and the people of Zambia, and said that CNMC and China Nonferrous Mining Corporation Limited would further increase investment in Zambia and make new contribution to Zambia’s economic and social development and improvement of people’s living standard.
