Congo’s New Ambassador to China Visits CNMC

On August 24, 2015, Congo (Kinshasa)’s new ambassador in China, Octo, visited the holding group of CNMCL, China Nonferrous Metal Mining (Group) Co., Ltd. (CNMC). Zhang Keli, general manager and Party secretary of CNMC, and Tao Xinghu, deputy general manager of CNMC and chairman of the board of directors and President of CNMCL, warmly received the delegation of Ambassador Octo.

The delegation of Ambassador Octo first visited the exhibition hall of CNMC and listened to the introduction about the development courses of CNMC and CNMCL and their business development at home and abroad. Ambassador Octo congratulated on the enormous success of CNMC and thanked CNMC and CNMCL for their contributions to the economic development and employment in Congo (Kinshasa).

During the talk, General Manager Zhang Keli congratulated Ambassador Octo on his taking office and expressed his thanks for the great help and support that Congo (Kinshasa) offered to CNMC and CNMCL. He also introduced the investment development of CNMC and CNMCL and their active commitment to local social public welfare and benefits for the local people. General Manager Zhang Keli said the Congo (Kinshasa)’s President Kabila met with the representatives of CNMC this June, which added strong spiritual power to the reform and development of CNMC and CNMCL. He indicated that CNMC and CNMCL would continue to strengthen their cooperation with Congo (Kinshasa) under the care and support of Ambassador Octo and the Congo (Kinshasa) Embassy to make greater contributions to the economic and social development of Congo (Kinshasa) and create a new chapter for the Sino-Congo (Kinshasa) friendship.

Ambassador Octo thanked CNMC and CNMCL for their contributions to the economic development and social progress of Congo (Kinshasa) on behalf of his government. He said President Kabila knew well about the projects of CNMCL in Congo (Kinshasa) and had high expectations about the investment and development of CNMC and CNMCL in his country. He hoped that CNMC and CNMCL could further expand their investment in Congo (Kinshasa) and Congo (Kinshasa) Embassy in China would continue to support the investment and development of CNMC and CNMCL in the host country.

Ambassador Octo’s wife, staff from Congo (Kinshasa) Embassy in China and relevant department leaders of CNMC attended the above activity.
