The General Manager and the Secretary of Party Committee of CNMC, Zhang Keli, who was investigating and surveying at the African enterprises funded by the Company, and the Deputy General Manager of CNMC and CEO of CNMCL, Tao Xinghu made an official call to the President of Democratic Republic of the Congo, Joseph Kabila at the Presidential Palace at the local time June 22.

President Kabila listened to the reports on the investment and development of CNMC and CNMCL in Democratic Republic of the Congo as well as the information on the cooperation agreement signed with Congo National Mining Company on June 21, and the President also fully confirmed and highly valued the achievements that CNMC and CNMCL have obtained in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in recent years, and wished to investigate and survey the cooperative project with Congo National Mining Company as soon as possible and  and develop the cooperation. He said that the Congo (DRC) Government will support the investment development of CNMC and CNMCL in Congo (DRC) as always.

The General Manager Zhang Keli said that CNMC and CNMCL would manage the local investment projects, carry out in-depth friendly cooperation with Congo National Mining Company, support each other, exert their own advantages further in their field to achieve mutual benefits and win-win results so as to advance common development, promote local employment and economic development and make made new and larger contribution under the tender care of the President.

In addition, Mr. Zhang and Mr. Tao also made a special trip respectively to meet the Ambassador in Congo (DRC) Wang Tongqing and the Minister of Mining in Congo (DRC) Kabuweilulu.  The Ambassador Wang Tongqing encouraged CNMC and CNMCL to exert their advantages in technology, management, funds and talents to expand their influence in Congo (DRC) and make new contribution to the local economic and social development. The Minister Kabuweilulu wished that CNMC and CNMCL could continue to increase their investment in the Congo (DRC) and develop the cooperation with Congo National Mining Company as soon as possible so as to realize mutual benefit and win-win results.

The Chairman of Congo National Mining Company Yongma, the General Manager of Yunnan Copper (Group) Co., Ltd Wu Jianqiang, the General Manager of Sino-Metals Leach Zambia Limited funded by our Company Xie Kaishou and the heads of relevant departments in CNMC participated in the above activities.
